Sign letter to Theresa May calling for phase-out of diesel
This is the first meeting of the recently formed campaign Doctors Against Diesel. We invite nurses, doctors and allied health professionals to join us to learn about health and diesel, discuss health messaging, and share ideas for how health professionals can support the wider campaign for a rapid phase out of diesel vehicles.
Under EU rules, sites are only allowed to breach hourly limits of 200 ug of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) /m3 air 18 times in a year, but on 5 January 347.7 ug/ m3 was measured on Brixton Road at 9pm, and was the 19th exceedance this year.

Today EU leaders will attempt to come to an agreement on air pollution reduction targets that will determine the quality of our air for the next 15 years. The success of the agreement will, however, depend on the UK government and other member states abandoning efforts to weaken and delay the directive.
