Sari Kovats is a Senior Lecturer at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, the leading research institution on public health in the UK. Sari is Director of the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in Environmental Change and Health, a multi-disciplinary five-year research programme, in partnership with Public Health England, and was Coordinating Lead Author for Chapter 23 on Europe in the Fifth Assessment Report for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) (2014). She was also the co-lead author, with Prof Dan Osborn at UCL, of the evidence review for the Second UK Climate Change Risk Assessment, “People and the Built Environment (2016)”.
