Paul was raised in Lochwinnoch, West Renfrewshire, moving to London with IBM in the early 80s. He has spent nearly forty years working in IT and finance, latterly as IT Director for FirstGroup Rail Division in London. He retired in 2015 and now lead strategy development at a UK software business serving the UK Rail industry.
In addition to acting as Medact’s Treasurer, he serves as Treasurer of a charity contracted with Camden Council to deliver community based services from Highgate Library, where the management team is actively supporting delivery of a £1.75M decarbonisation project. Paul’s company Linthills is committed to supporting the work of local community trusts in Scotland through charitable donation. Paul lives with his wife in Edinburgh where they enjoy a healthy lifestyle, with Paul participating competitively in the European Masters squash tour.
