Mary Kamara is a doctor with experience in the healthcare of refugees and asylum seekers, as well as in healthcare as a component of international development. She works as a Clinical Advisor at Medical Justice, and has been visiting clients held in immigration removal centres since 2010. Having frequently encountered the harm caused to health and well-being by immigration detention, especially psychological and psychiatric illness, she now campaigns for an end to the use of Immigration Detention.
