Kjølv Egeland holds a BA in International Relations and an MPhil in Peace and Conflict Studies, both from the University of Oslo. He has studied at Freie Universität Berlin and the University of Oxford, and works on issues related to nuclear disarmament, emerging military technologies, and international security.
The co-author of A ‘Legal Gap’? Nuclear Weapons Under International Law (Arms Control Today, March 2016), Mr. Egeland has been an adviser at the Center for International Humanitarian Law at the International Law and Policy Institute in Oslo.
