Dr Devin C Bowles is the Executive Director of the Council for Academic Public Health Institutions Australia and a visitor at the Australian National University. He has published widely on the health impacts of climate change-associated conflict, and earned a PhD at the Australian National University for a thesis on this topic. Devin is working on the first book examining the subject, tentatively titled By Our Own Hand: Climate Change-Associated Conflict and Health, to be published by Routledge.

He was previously an executive at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, and also worked at the then Australian Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts. Other publication topics include Indigenous and maternal health, religious change, prosopagnosia (face blindness), and the intersections of climate change with migration and mental health.
