Carlos Grijalva Eternod trained as a nutritionist in Mexico. His academic interests span to the developmental origins of chronic disease with special interest in undernutrition, assessment of the nutritional status among infants and children living in vulnerable settings, and evaluating the impact of interventions aimed at reducing nutritional deficiencies among refugees. He has been active in the UK campaigning for peace and against the rise of higher education fees. He also participated in the worldwide movement to protect the short lived Oaxaca Commune, in Mexico, from government violence. He is now a Research Associate at University College, London’s Insititute for Global Health.
Carlos served on Medact’s Board as a Trustee from 2013 to 2019.
