Medact’s archive at the Wellcome Library includes the records of Medact from 1992 onwards, as well as records of the Medical Campaign against Nuclear Weapons from its formation in 1980. The archive has been fully catalogued and is available for research. Search the online catalogue using the reference ‘SA/MED’ to find all records relating to MCANW and Medact held at the Wellcome. Information on joining the library and searching the catalogue are available on the Wellcome Library’s website.
The archive of the Medical Association for the Prevention of War is held at the University of Bradford Special Collections. This includes records from MAPW from 1951 – 1996; the catalogue is available online. University of Bradford Special Collections also holds many other materials relevant to medicine and peace campaigning, including items in the Peace Pamphlets collection.
