Medical Peace Work is an emerging field of expertise in health work, violence prevention, and peace-building. Medical Peace Work is also a network of European organisations and teaching institutions concerned with building healthy and peaceful societies. It developed interactive cases, which will introduce students or health professionals to some of the key concepts, opportunities and dilemmas in the peace health field.
These audio-visual teaching case are intended to be used as the basis for group work and class discussion in both, formal and non-formal educational settings for health professionals and their students.
Case-based learning is a methodological learning approach in which students in groups try to understand a fictive or real case situation and to solve presented challenges. It enables active peer learning.
