Mathilda Jabbour

Mathilda Jabbour is a student in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Southampton, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care as a Said Foundation scholar.  She is interested in finding innovative solutions to the challenges facing her home region. Mathilda has a background in nutrition, business administration and healthcare management and experience in the Lebanese healthcare system. She combines this expertise to assist with the healthcare Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon.  Her current research is on the safety and applicability of assisted home childbirth in the Lebanese setting. The purpose of her research is to build a strategy that would decrease the demand of Syrian refugees on tertiary care for maternity in Lebanon.
