Palestine National Demonstration – join our health justice bloc

"Human rights must matter to ... health workers, requiring activism in response to their violation and disregard." - Dr. Samah Jabr, Palestinian psychiatrist and psychotherapist

Join us on Saturday 11 May in London for National Demonstration for Palestine to mark the 71st anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba (Catastrophe).

The Nakba saw the forced expulsion of over 700,000 Palestinians from their homes, forming the largest refugee population in the world at that time, as well as several massacres across the country in cities such as Deir Yassin. Each year, this date is marked by vigils and demonstrations around the world, as well as in Palestine.

We will be joining the UK-Palestine Mental Health Network and the Palestine-UK Social Work Network to form a health and social justice bloc of the protest.

Before we begin marching to Whitehall, our meeting point will be:

South-east corner of Portland Place and Duchess Street (near the top of the BBC building)

Look out for the Medact banner and the banners of the other two organisations.
