Humanity in Healthcare Training of Trainers

  • Are you interested in learning more about entitlement to NHS care, barriers to accessing healthcare and policy implications of restricting access to healthcare?
  • Are you interested in learning how to deliver training on access to healthcare and then sharing knowledge gained?

Join us on Monday 14 August at 7pm for a special Train the Trainers (ToT) session delivered by Anna Miller from Doctors of the World.

Training of Trainers

The Medact Refugee Solidarity Group has been supporting the Doctors of the World ‘Right to Healthcare’ teaching programme. We are hoping to form a collective of healthcare students, professionals and human rights activists who undergo training and then deliver access to healthcare training in health universities and workplaces across the UK.

The ToT session, starting at 7pm, lasts three hours with a time for tea/coffee and a chance to discuss getting involved with the Refugee Solidarity Group.

The training is open for all Medact members. If you would like to join please click here: https://medact.org/membership.

The ToT, tailored for Medact members, prepares future trainers to deliver the ‘Right to Healthcare’ training. This one-hour training module aimed at healthcare professionals working in the NHS, is also relevant for those with an interest in health policy and human rights. The training covers entitlement to NHS care, barriers to accessing healthcare, the policy implications of restricting access to healthcare, and healthcare professionals as advocates for access to healthcare. More information can be found on the Doctors of the World website here.

Registration is on a first come, first served basis and SPACE IS LIMITED! If you are interested in attending please contact me to confirm attendance. Please also do let us know if you are unable to attend but interested in future training sessions.
