DESCRIPTION:Radical Approaches to Harm in Healthcare\n\n\n\n\n\nCradle Community are leading a workshop for organisers in the Patients not Passports community to explore radical approaches to harm and violence in our communities\, through a transformative justice lens. It will take place at Sheffield City of Sanctuary. \n\n\n\nThe aims of the session will be to: \n\n\n\n\nDiscuss what violence and harm look like in your communities\n\n\n\nUnpack the basic principles of Transformative Justice and community accountability\n\n\n\nExplore the differences between Punishment and Consequences \n\n\n\nImagine what practices of community accountability and transformative justice could look like in your communities\n\n\n\n\nCradle is an abolitionist collective made up of people radicalised by our shared experiences of gender and racial marginalisation. We are committed to building towards our collective liberation by experimenting with transformative justice approaches to conflict\, harm and accountability.

DESCRIPTION:The All Member Assembly is our annual opportunity to come together\, reflect on Medact’s work\, and engage in shaping our direction – welcoming members old and new from across the UK and beyond. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP\n\n\n\n\nThe evening will include a keynote discussion with a guest speaker (details coming soon!)\, updates from the organisation and an opportunity for members to vote on its adoption. Members will also have the chance to submit and vote on motions\, and to elect any Trustees standing for election.  \n\n\n\nWe’ll close the event with music\, snacks and drinks for those attending in person.  \n\n\n\nEveryone is welcome to attend the meeting\, but you must be a member to vote. If you’d like to take part in Medact’s decision-making\, why not join as a member today? \n\n\n\nSubmitting motions\n\n\n\nThe All Member Assembly offers a space for members to propose changes to how Medact is run. If you’d like to submit a motion\, please first read “Decision Making in Medact: Governance and AGM”\, then contact us at office@medact.org to request a submission form.  \n\n\n\nThe deadline for submitting motions is 9am on Wednesday\, 16th September 2026. You must be a member to submit a motion\, and it must be seconded by another member. \n\n\n\nElection of Trustees \n\n\n\nAt the Assembly\, members will also elect Trustees\, who are responsible for the governance of Medact. If you are interested in standing as a Trustee\, we encourage you to get in touch for an informal chat. Please email office@medact.org to arrange this and request information about standing for election. \n\n\n\nThe deadline for applications is 9am on Wednesday 16th September 2026. DESCRIPTION:The Abolitionist Approaches to Health Group (originally named the ‘Securitisation of Health Group’) is a space for health workers and campaigners to collectively challenge policing\, criminalisation and securitisation practices within and beyond sites of healthcare.The groups’ current priority campaign is calling for the repeal of Prevent in the NHS\, the adoption of evidence-based public health policies\, and the redressal of harms caused by Prevent.
