SUMMARY:Briefing launch: The Public Health Case Against the Policing Bill
DESCRIPTION:The public health case against the policing bill – Briefing launch event\, 15 November 2021\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWatch this video on YouTube\n\n\nThe government has misleadingly branded the racist and dangerous PCSC (Policing) Bill a “public health approach” to combating serious violence. But health workers in the Medact Research Network debunk these claims in our new briefing The Public Health Case Against the Policing Bill. \nWritten to support the huge groundswell of opposition to this bill in the #KillTheBill movement\, the briefing explains why the measures in the Bill – greater police powers\, repression of protest\, harsher prison sentences\, erosion of confidentiality and increased criminalisation of Gypsy and Traveller communities – will actually harm public health  and entrench discrimination. \nWe aim to articulate and amplify radical public health voices against the Policing Bill’s approach and explore potential alternatives. \nYou’ll hear from health workers who are members of our Research Network and involved in creation of the briefing\, and we’re thrilled to host four fantastic speakers who will discuss public health in the context of crime\, policing and prison: \nLola Olufemi – Lola is a black feminist writer and researcher\, author of Feminism Interrupted: Disrupting Power and Experiments in Imagining Otherwise. Alongside writing\, she is a member of ‘bare minimum‘\, an interdisciplinary anti-work arts collective. Lola also facilitates reading groups/workshops\, occasionally curates\, and is volunteer co-ordinator at the Feminist Library in South London. \nKelsey M – Kelsey is a feminist\, abolitionist organiser based in London\, resisting state violence and working to explore and build transformative justice and community-led responses to violence. As a facilitator with grassroots collectives she delivers workshops exploring community accountability\, bystander intervention\, power\, and tools for campaigning and movement building. \nChelsea McDonagh – Chelsea is a researcher\, Irish Traveller activist and writer. She speaks on a wide range of issues affecting Gypsy and Traveller people including education\, health\, policy and politics. Chelsea is one of the co-founders of the Rom Belong programme\, a KCL Widening Participation programme for Gypsy\, Roma and Traveller pupils and is passionate about improving opportunities for young people. \nKavian Kulasabanathan – Kavian is a paediatric A&E doctor and researcher at the University of Oxford. His interests span socio-political determinants of health\, particularly pertaining to race and class\, alongside community-centered models of care. Kavian organises with PHM-UK and Race & Health collective. \nPresenters covered topics such as the future implications of the PCSC bill\, different visions of public health\, new approaches to care\, and approaches to ‘serious violence’ and socio-economic issues that don’t rely on punitive or carceral responses. There will be lots of time for audience questions!

SUMMARY:No Borders in the NHS! Week of Action\, 23-27 October
DESCRIPTION:The Hostile Environment is turning the NHS into the new frontier of border control. Join us as we take action against patient charging and demand an end to borders in the NHS! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHostile Environment immigration policies are undermining the founding principles of the NHS. People are turned away from the healthcare they need. People are turned away from the healthcare they need. Immigration checks are becoming normalised in receptions and wards across the country. NHS hospitals routinely share patient data with the Home Office. People are harassed by debt collectors for huge bills they will never be able to pay.  \n\n\n\nSave the dates! No Borders In The NHS: Week of Action\, 23-27 October. People all over the country will take action across five themed days of action\, more info to follow! \n\n\n\nWe must remember all those whose lives have been devastated by border controls in healthcare\, continue to resist through collective organising in hospitals and workplaces\, and stand in solidarity with all those who are impacted by the hostile environment. Join us! \n\n\n\nNo Borders In The NHS: Week of Action\, 23 – 27 October\n\n\n\nPeople all over the country will take action across five themed days.\n\n\n\nSaturday 23rd – Remember and Resist!\n\n\n\nWe begin by remembering and honouring all those whose lives have been destroyed by racist Hostile Environment policies. October 23rd marks four years since the introduction of upfront charging for migrants in the NHS\, and two years since the deaths of 39 Vietnamese migrants who were found in a lorry in Essex. \n\n\n\nToday we remember Nasar Ullah Khan\, who died after being denied treatment for heart failure. We remember Elfreda Spencer\, who died because she could not pay £30\,000 upfront for chemotherapy. We remember Kelema Mulat\, who died following a 6 week delay in breast cancer treatment. We remember Elvis\, who died of coronavirus without help because he was too scared of being charged or deported if he came forward for treatment. We remember all whose lives have been made disposable at the hands of Britain’s hostile border controls—their bravery\, their struggles to survive and their campaigns for a better world. \n\n\n\nJoin campaign groups across the country holding street stalls and vigils: \n\n\n\nLondon: \n\n\n\n\n12 noon – 1pm @ Lewisham Hospital A&E\, SE13. With Save Lewisham Hospital Campaign\, Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network and Lewisham Citizens\n\n\n\n12 noon @ Whitechapel Underground Station. With Tower Hamlets Keep Our NHS Public\n\n\n\n12 noon @ Dalston Farmers Market\, St Paul’s Church\, N16. With Hackney Patients Not Passports\, Hackney Keep Our NHS Public\, Akwaaba\, and Feminist Fightback\n\n\n\n6pm @ Walthamstow Town Square\, E17. With Waltham Forest Patients Not Passports\, Waltham Forest Save Our NHS\, and Waltham Forest Migrant Action\n\n\n\n\nBrighton & Hove: \n\n\n\n\n5.30pm @ Peace Statue\, Hove Lawns\, Hove. With Brighton Medact\n\n\n\n\nManchester: \n\n\n\n\nMidday @ St. Mary’s Hospital\, Oxford Road (opposite the Whitworth Gallery)\, Manchester\, M13. With Greater Manchester Patients Not Passports\, Manchester Keep our NHS Public\, Medact Manchester\, and The Greater Manchester Immigraiton Aid Unit\n\n\n\nRally against the Nationality & Borders Bill. 2pm @ St Peter’s Square\, Manchester\, M2 5PD. With NW Unison\, NW NEU\, Greater Immigration Aid Unit\, Lancashire Association Trades Union Councils(LATUC)\, Greater Manchester Association Trades Union Councils\, NW Unison Black Members Committee\, NW TUC Black Members Committee\, Status Now\, and RAPAR.\n\n\n\n\nSun 24th – Free for All Forever: No to Privatisation\n\n\n\nThe introduction of Hostile Environment immigration policies into the NHS goes hand in hand with a wider project of privatising our healthcare system and erosion of its founding principle: that healthcare is a right and should be available to everyone\, regardless of ability to pay or where you’re from. The 2017 introduction of upfront charging in the NHS marked one of the most profound changes since it was established\, forcing NHS Trust to withhold care from people that cannot pay. The new Health and Care Bill\, currently being debated in Parliament will further open the door to privatisation and the undermining of our health system as we know it. \n\n\n\nRead this article by Keep Our NHS Public campaigner\, Alia Butt\, and help us share Docs Not Cops’ video outlining what is happening to the NHS.  \n\n\n\nMon 25th – Solidarity Knows No Borders: End the Hostile Environment\n\n\n\nToday we stand in solidarity with everyone impacted by the Hostile Environment and the racism of border controls. From schools\, to housing\, to healthcare\, the Hostile Environment seeks to destroy lives and undermine access to vital public services. At the same time\, the Government’s new Borders & Nationality Bill – also known as the #AntiRefugeeBill – seeks to create a two tier system for people seeking safety\, normalise offshore migrant prisons\, and limit migrants’ access to justice.  \n\n\n\nToday we will highlight that the immigration system is not broken – it is violent and hostile by design. We will stand with all campaigning for an end to the Hostile Environment in its entirety. \n\n\n\nIn London\, there will be a street stall outside St Thomas’ Hospital to talk to NHS staff about The Hostile Environment and how it will impact their work: \n\n\n\n\n7:30pm – 9pm @ St Thomas’ Hospital\, Westminster Bridge entrance\, SE1. With Lambeth and Southwark Patients Not Passports\n\n\n\n\nIn Sheffield\, there’ll be a street stall outside the Royal Hallamshire to talk to NHS staff about the Hostile Environment\, raise awareness about the Justice for Simba campaign\, and find out how to get more involved with the movement for migrant justice: \n\n\n\n\n4pm @ Royal Hallamshire Hospital\, Sheffield\, S10. With Medact Sheffield\, The Justice for Simba Campaign\, South Yorkshire Migration and Asylum Action Group\n\n\n\n\nIn Newcastle\, there’ll be a street stall outside Royal Victoria Infirmary to talk to NHS staff about The Hostile Environment and how it will impact their work: \n\n\n\n\n8am – 9:30am\, Monday 25th @ Royal Victoria Infirmary\, Newcastle\, NE1. With Keep Our NHS Public North East and Medact North East\n\n\n\n\nTuesday 26th – Organise To Win\n\n\n\nThe Hostile Environment seeks to turn those who  care and support the most marginalised in our society into border guards. This is what we must remember when we build our campaigns against racist immigration controls in our public services. The Department of Health will only listen when we organise in our workplaces and in our communities\, to raise collective awareness about what is happening under the Hostile Environment and together refuse to be complicit in this system. \n\n\n\nIt will take all of us to win. That means everybody the Hostile Environment tries to recruit as a border guard\, we must now recruit to our campaign: to be fighters for justice and to stand up for everyone’s right to healthcare. NHS workers have a particular role to play to advocate for patients facing increasing barriers to care and to protect the universal principles that underpin the NHS. \n\n\n\nLook out for a list of street stalls and leafleting at hospitals and town centres near you\, with information about how you can join the campaign wherever you are. \n\n\n\nLondon: \n\n\n\n\n7:30am – 9am @ St Thomas’ Hospital\, Westminster Bridge entrance\, London SE1. With Lambeth and Southwark Patients Not Passports.\n\n\n\n\nLeeds: \n\n\n\n\n7:30 – 9am @ Leeds Infirmary\, Jubilee Wing main entrance\, Leeds\, LS1. With Leeds Keep Our NHS Public\n\n\n\n\nBrighton: \n\n\n\n\n7.45am and 4.45pm @ Royal Sussex County Hospital\, BN2\n\n\n\n4.45pm @ Millview Hospital\, BN3\n\n\n\nTime TBC @ Princess Royal Hospital\, BR6\n\n\n\nTime TBC @ Eastbourne District General Hospital\, BN21\n\n\n\n\nWednesday 27th – No Borders In Healthcare\n\n\n\nOur NHS was founded on the principle of universal healthcare\, free at the point of use for everyone – regardless of background\, nationality\, or ability to pay. The government’s Hostile Environment means this is no longer the case. What we see as a result is people deterred from seeking the care they need\, outright denied treatment on the basis of the documents they have\, questioned about their entitlement to care because of how they look\, the colour of their skin\, or their so called ‘foreign sounding name’\, and people being forced to choose between incurring huge debts\, regularising their immigration status\, or their good health.  \n\n\n\nToday we join forces across the country to make our message clear: no borders in healthcare. The NHS must treat #PatientsNotPassports. \n\n\n\nIf you’re in Newcastle join their banner drop: \n\n\n\n\n8:30am @ The Dome\, Whitley Bay\, Newcastle. With North East Keep Our NHS Public\, and Medact North East\n\n\n\n\nIn Liverpool\, campaigners from Merseyside Solidarity Knows No Borders will be out in the town centre talking to people about the impact of NHS charging and how to join the Patients Not Passports campaign: \n\n\n\n\nMidday @ Liverpool Town Centre (close to Iceland on Kensington). With Merseyside Solidarity Knows No Borders.\n\n\n\n\nIn Bristol\, there’ll be a demo in the town centre calling for an end to NHS Charging and the Hostile Environment: \n\n\n\n\n5pm – 7pm @ The Sails\, by Primark\, Broadmead\, BS1. With Bistol Patients Not Passports and Bristol Medact\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll let you know how to participate online on the day! Get in touch at info@act.patientsnotpassports.co.uk to help get the message out on Wednesday morning.

SUMMARY:Medact Oxford - Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Over the last few months we have been building up our local Patients not Passports campaign in collaboration with Migrants Organise. We have organised a few training sessions to increase healthcare workers’ awareness of the impact of the Hostile Environment on access to healthcare. \nAs a result\, we’ve had a growing number of people expressing their interest in starting a local action to pressure the OUH to scrap unfair charging regulations. As such\, we would like to invite you to the first Medact Oxford virtual meeting. We would like to know you better\, explore your interests\, and understand how you can help us build a bigger and better movement in Oxford both on this issue and others. \nBecause Medact also works in other areas – climate & health\, economic justice\, etc. – we welcome any suggestions to build up other local campaigns. \nIf you would like details how to join the online meeting\, please email oxford@medact.org

This will be a fantastic opportunity for Medact members and supporters from all around the UK to swap ideas and get to know each other. \nThe following day\, on 22nd September\, we’ll be joining people from across the world for the ‘Nae Nukes Anywhere’ peace rally at the Faslane Nuclear Base – home to the UK’s Trident submarines. We’ll be providing transport from Glasgow for anyone who’d like to come. \nYou can register for any or all of the three events using the button below: \n\nClick here to register \nPapers for the AGM are now available below. \nSchedule\nFriday 21st September @ the Kinning Park Complex\, Glasgow\nAGM 2018\, 4.30 – 6pm\nThis is the main business meeting of Medact\, including reports on the year\, election of new Board members\, and voting on any motion proposals. All are welcome but only Medact members are eligible to vote. \nTalk & dinner\, 6.45 – 11pm\nIn the evening we are delighted to have Director of Nourish Scotland Pete Ritchie joining us to talk about Nourish’s work on food poverty\, and opportunities for health professionals to get involved with work on this issue. \nFollowing Pete’s talk we will sit down for dinner provided by local caterers Milk; and also hear more from Medact members about other areas of work this year\, and the significance of the demonstration on the Saturday. \nAfter dinner there will be an opportunity to enjoy some traditional Scottish music. \nSaturday 22nd September @ Faslane\, home of the UK’s Trident nuclear submarines\nOn the Saturday thousands we will join thousands of anti-nuclear campaigners from across the world in the International Peace March at Faslane. \nTransport will be provided for those that want it from central Glasgow\, leaving mid-morning for the march which starts at noon. \nAGM Papers\nAGM papers are now available to download as follows: \n\n\nMedact AGM 2018 – Agenda\n\n\nMedact AGM 2017 – Draft Minutes\n\n\nMedact Statement of Financial Activities for the period 1st Feb 2017 to 31st Jan 2018\n\n\nWe are delighted to announce the following nominations for election to the Board of Trustees: \nDr Margaret Jackson\nI am a GP in rural North Yorkshire in a small but busy practice with a large elderly population. I have been a partner for twenty three years. I am also a GP trainer and coordinate the medical student (Hull York Medical School) teaching in the practice. With psychotherapy colleagues I have been facilitating pioneering group work with people with long term conditions in order to enable people to be better able to take control of their health and well-being. I have been collaborating with researchers at Hull University on this work. \nI have all my adult life felt strongly about social justice and environmental sustainability. Over the past few years\, and in particular since attending the Medact conference “Healthy Planet\, Better World” in 2016\, I have become much clearer that I need to become active in the movement towards a fairer and more sustainable world. My colleague Angela Harvey and I launched Yorkshire Medact last year and have been involved in anti-fracking campaigns in Yorkshire and Lancashire. \nNow 55\, I am able to devote more of my energies to working with these issues as I reduce the time that I devote to the practice. I am keen to become more involved in Medact’s work as I see Medact as a far-sighted organisation that ‘punches above its weight’ in terms of what it achieves for its size. I believe that working with such a broad remit (peace and security\, climate and environment\, economic justice and human rights) crucially enables the links to be made between all these areas. For all these reasons I would be very interested in joining the Medact board. \nLesley Morrison\nLesley Morrison is a retired GP\, still involved  in medical student teaching\, who has been an active member of Medact since its inception and a member of MCANW prior to that. She has always felt passionately about the need to rid the world of nuclear weapons  and about the importance of Medact’s work to show that disarmament\, development\, human rights and concern for the environment are inextricably interlinked. \nLiving just south of Edinburgh\, she would represent the views of Medact Scotland. \nNeena Modi\nProfessor Neena Modi is a consultant at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and professor of neonatal medicine at Imperial College London. She completed a three year term as president of the UK Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in March 2018. She heads a major neonatal research programme focused on the perinatal determinants of lifelong health\, and led the development of the UK National Neonatal Research Database\, of which she is the current director. \nProfessor Modi has made many contributions to children’s services\, and has been at the forefront of reinvigorating the clinical research base of paediatrics and child health. During her career she has served\, among many other roles\, as president of the UK Neonatal Society\, president of the Academic Paediatrics Association of Great Britain and Ireland\, and chair of the British Medical Journal ethics committee. She is currently president-elect of the Medical Women’s Federation. \nKitty Mohan\nKitty is a Consultant in Communicable Disease Control based in London and Oxford. A medical doctor by background she completed Public Health training in London in March 2018 and was awarded a PhD in Epidemiology from King’s College London in 2016. \nShe is the President of the European Junior Doctor Association\, which represents the interests of 300\,000 junior doctors across Europe. She was a member of BMA Council from 2013-18\, has previously been Director of the BMA \,and was joint lead negotiator for junior doctor contract negotiations whilst Co-chair of the Junior Doctors Committee between 2013 and 2015. \nDirections to Kinning Park Complex\nThe Kinning Park complex is conveniently located immediately adjacent to Kinning Park Underground station which can be reached coming from either Buchanan St [ for Queen St mainline] or St Enoch’s [for Central station].

SUMMARY:Recognising and acting on medical sequellae of human rights abuses - Training in Oxford
DESCRIPTION:A recent survey of 199 clinicians in the Northwest Region revealed that 55% had encountered a torture survivor in their NHS practice; most lacked confidence in how to help these patients. \nMedact\, Asylum Welcome Oxford and Forrest Medico-Legal Services have partnered to organise a special teaching session to train interested doctors\, nurses and counsellors in methods of documenting\, in a a very limited way\, clinical evidence of human rights abuses previously suffered by the detainees they are visiting. \nThis documentation would not  take the form of full Medico-Legal Reports (MLR) which are compliant with the Istanbul Protocol. But even a short letter can sometimes assist detainees in achieving release and beginning to establish their case for international protection. Moreover\, such documentation is very useful to lawyers in seeking an MLR if indicated. \nIf time allows\, the training will also cover entitlement and barriers to NHS care. \nThe training is free of charge for members of Medact or Asylum Welcome. \nFor more details\, please contact Frank Arnold at Medact or Almas Farzi at Asylum Welcome.

SUMMARY:Panel Debate on Overconsumption vs. Overpopulation - KCL Sustainability Week
DESCRIPTION:What is the true driver of environmental\, social and economic disorder in the 21st century?\nThe world is confronted with a multitude of environmental\, social and economic challenges. \nHow do we contain global warming? How do we feed\, provide for and educate the 10\, 11 or even 12 billion people expected this century? And what about biodiversity? Surely\, the fishes\, insects and animals need a home too? After all\, they were here first. \nIt is unquestionable that a rapidly growing global population places additional pressures on our ecosystems\, communities and politics. But is mitigating the above challenges merely a question of reducing or stabilising population growth? Or is challenging and changing our consumptive ways the answer\, particularly as we are consuming more resources than in any other time in the history of civilization? \nIs there room for 12 billion to thrive if we change our diet\, switch to renewable energy across the globe or implement genuinely progressive reforms to wealth redistribution and land access? \nAddressing these questions with evidence\, compassion and an open-mind will be key to ensuring a stable planet with thriving citizens for centuries to come. \nWe encourage you join us as and a diverse panel of speakers as we get to grips with one of the defining issues of our time in one of our headline events for Sustainability Week 2017. \nThe event will be chaired by Olivia Preston\, Operations Sustainability Manager at King’s and panellists include: \n\nAsad Rehman – Senior Climate Campaigner\, Friends of the Earth\nKate Raworth – Author of Doughnut Economics and Visiting Research Associate\, Oxford University’s Environmental Change Institute\nAlistair Currie – Head of Campaigns\, Population Matters\nDavid Powell – Environment Lead\, New Economics Foundation\n\nEntry is on a first come\, first serve basis. \nFor details of other events happening during Sustainability Week\, please visit our blog: \nhttp://blogs.kcl.ac.uk/sustainability/week/

SUMMARY:Oxford Health Through Peace Network Day
DESCRIPTION:Medact believes that health professionals are uniquely placed to address the root drivers of war and conflict; and to work towards peace and a more sustainable idea of security. In November 2015\, we ran the ‘Health Through Peace’ conference which saw 700 members of the health community come together to discuss the impact of war\, violence and militarism on health. \nSince then\, a growing group of health students and professionals have been taking forward the energy and vision of this conference. See more about their recent activity on this page! \nWe need to harness our collective skills and energy\, and work together to be effective drivers of a strong and sustainable movement for peace. The Oxford Health Through Peace Network Day is an opportunity for health professionals and students working on issues related to peace and security in and around Oxford to network\, promote their campaigns and events\, and more generally begin to work as partners in the Health Through Peace movement. It’s also an opportunity for members of the health community who wish to be involved in the movement to find out more! \nIf you would like to join us\, please get in touch with Rhianna at rhiannalouise@medact.org \n

SUMMARY:Medact - How to build a movement? (Post-AGM Event)
DESCRIPTION:Building strong movements is more important than ever … can you lend Medact your ideas and enthusiasm to help us better understand how we can be more effective\, and how we grow? \n    Come together with Medact supporters\, staff and trustees on the afternoon of Saturday 20th June to lend your ideas and creativity in a series of workshops looking at how Medact can be more effective\, and how we can best support and nurture our grassroots movement. This is a great chance to learn how you can get involved in our work over the coming months\, and let us know what you think we should be doing. Saturday 20th June at Friends House (London) – 1.30pm to 5pm (followed by drinks) – \nProgramme\nWelcome (1.30pm)\n A short welcome and introduction from Medact’s staff team.     \nCampaigns Update  (1.45pm)\n Hear from Medact staff and project coordinators about recent developments in Medact’s campaigns and projects – including fossil fuel divestment\, preventing torture\, fracking and renewing trident. This will be an open session in which questions and discussion will be encouraged. It will be followed by a chance to ask questions to the Medact team – come and quiz us on what we’ve done well and what we could do better! \nUpdate Agenda \nWelcome – Sridhar Venkatapuram \nCommunications & Media – Victor Ponsford \nPreventing Torture – Frank Arnold \nNuclear Disarmament – Frank Boulton \nFossil Fuel Divestment – Zoe Steley \nPeace – Christopher Venables \nFracking – David McCoy \nFood\, farming and climate – David McCoy \n Focussed Discussion Groups  (3.00-4.00pm)\n Gathering a thousand health professionals for peace: making our November conference a ‘Big Thing’! In November of this year\, Medact is leading a coalition of organisations – including  The Lancet\, Saferworld\, Oxford Research Group\, Health Poverty Action\, Kings College London\, Quakers in Britain\, Campaign Against Arms Trade and others – to hold a major two-day peace conference at Friends House in London. We’d like to make this event a ‘Big Thing’! But\, with only a small amount of staff-time\, we need the energy and enthusiasm of our members and supporters to help make this happen. We’ll be briefly introducing the conference\, and then asking you for ideas on how we can make Health Through Peace an event to remember! This will be a good chance to get involved in organising a major conference. Growing Medact from the bottom-up: How do we grow and nurture active membership amongst a busy and over-stretched workforce? Medact has a number of active local groups\, but we’d like to support more of our members to become active in their communities – taking our campaigns and resources to new audiences\, and providing a local platform for the enthusiasm and energy of health professionals. We have 1000 members – and new people joining every week! – but we have little capacity in the office to be able to support and nurture the membership. We’d like to listen to your ideas of how we could better support you in developing local groups\, and rethinking what Medact’s members can do in their local communities. Making a small organisation strong: How do we maximise Medact’s full potential to influence and make change happen? We know that doctors and health professionals in general are well respected and trusted. We know that public health evidence –based on sound epidemiology and rigorous policy analysis – is powerful. And we know that most health professionals want to see a fairer\, better and safer world. But largely speaking\, the health community remains a weak player in politics. It failed to prevent the dismantling of the NHS. It has failed to reverse the widening of health inequalities. And it has not reduced the threats of catastrophic human harm from nuclear war and climate change. So how can we do better as a health community\, and how can Medact help as an organisation? We want to hear your ideas and suggestions.     \nComing Back Together (4-4.30pm)\n After we’ve broken into the smaller groups\, we’ll briefly come back together and give each group an opportunity to report back.     \nSocial (5pm onwards!)\n We’ll be going for a drink afterwards in a room above a local pub – snacks may be provided! This is a good chance for more informal discussions with other Medact members and supporters\, as well as trustees and staff. – Annual General Meeting The afternoon conference will be preceded by Medact’s Annual General Meeting. If you are a Medact member and wish to attend the AGM\, please contact Chris Venables – chrisvenables@medact.org. There will be a light-lunch (snacks and sandwiches) provided for those attending the AGM. www.medact.org/agm2015 \nReserve a space using the ticket form below\n 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
