DESCRIPTION:We need a global Green New Deal with public health at its core. We need investment in green jobs and infrastructure that puts the health of people and planet first. The health community has a key role to play in calling for this transformative change.\n \nJoin us for this action call on Thursday 9th July as we discuss the what\, why and how of building the health movement for transformative climate justice. \nJoining us will be our special guests: \n\nDr Abdul El-Sayed – Former Health Director of Detroit and professor at Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health\nGuppi Bola – Former Medact Director\, Chair of the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants\, researcher and public health strategist with a background in economic justice campaigning.\nDr Stephanie Davis Le Brun – Clinical psychologist working in older adult mental health services and a member of the North West branch of Psychologists for Social Change.\n\nRegistration for this call has now closed.
