Medact is looking for someone with a passion for health justice who’s keen to gain high-quality experience in a campaigning organisation.
Our movement of campaigning healthcare workers is expanding; and our team is growing. This is an exciting time to join us in a role at the centre of everything we do.
About the role
The Campaigns Assistant supports the Medact team in our work to empower healthcare workers to campaign for a safer and more just world. This is an entry-level role and no previous experience in a campaigning organisation is needed – our friendly team will help you learn what you need to know to do the job well. The role does involve some administrative tasks, but they’ll be balanced with plenty of opportunities for broader development – expect to feel excited and challenged, while receiving the support you need to grow professionally.
You’ll have a passion for social justice and health equality, and a hunger to learn more about how groups of people can work together to achieve meaningful social change. A great team player, you thrive when things are busy. Experience working in health and working with volunteers on a joint project would be useful but not essential. If your application is shortlisted, we will invite you to an interview. This will involve a written task, and a conversation with a panel of three Medact staff members.

Interviews will be on Thursday 7th November. We will be holding a board and staff away-day on 19th November, which we hope the successful candidate will be able to attend even if they have not yet started in their role, though this is not essential.
