Medact's Study Group on Psychosocial Issues in the Nuclear Age (SPINA) was formed in 1987 by Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist Lynn Barnett and other mental health professional members of Medact. It subsequently changed its name to the Working Group on Violence, Conflict and Health (VCH) and is currently facilitated by Dr Jack Piachaud.
The VCH Group's aim is to consider and draw attention to the psychosocial impacts of war and the threat of war.
