Information sheets on maternity rights

A woman's maternity rights vary according to her immigration status and this can be extremely confusing. Medact and Maternity Action have prepared information sheets which outline a woman's entitlements to NHS maternity care, benefits, tax credits and employment rights according to her status

We have updated the information sheets to reflect the March 2009 Court of Appeal decision on entitlement to healthcare for refused asylum seekers and also changes in benefits which came into effect in April 2009.
