Medact has responded to the Government consultation on the NHS White Paper - Equity & Excellence: Liberating the NHS. Medact argues that, particularly in financially difficult times, health professionals must be free to concentrate on the best interests of their patients, equality must be a major consideration in overall policy, and the founding principles of the NHS must be protected.
